For the past several years Apple Blossom School has offered on site child care through private agencies. Since the 1991 - 92 school year, Twin Hills School District assumed the administrative responsibilities of the After School Program in order to continue to provide a high quality program.

PHILOSOPHY

• The After School Program supports an overall philosophy that encourages a child's social and emotional development as well as their academic progress.
  
  

GOAL

• The purpose of the After School Program is to provide and maintain a safe, caring environment for the children.
  
  

ENVIRONMENT

• The staff creates a nurturing environment where the children learn mutual respect for others and build long lasting friendships.
  
  

ACTIVITIES

• The program offers various activities such as, arts and crafts, inside games (board games, puzzles, legos, drawing, etc.). and outside activities. Also available is computer time and a supervised homework time
  
  

REGISTRATION

• All children must be registered before they may attend the After School Program. All of the forms must be returned to the Program Coordinator along with the $25.00 registration fee prior to the child attending.
  
• You may register a child any time as long as space is available.
  

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

• You may register your child the last week of July or the week prior to school starting.
  

TUITION SCHEDULE

• Tuition is based on the number of hours and days a child attends.
  
  

MONTHLY RATES

• Rates may vary according to Common Planning Days and Teacher In-Service days each month.
  

• We do offer Drop - in service.

• Hourly rate - $5.50. You will be charged for the full hour.

• A 10% discount is given to additional children in the same family.
  

• A $25.00 registration fee is paid annually and is non - refundable.

• Tuition is due by the 15th of each month. If tuition is paid after the 20th a late charge of $10 may be added.

DAY CAMPS

• Children must attend a minimum of two days a week.
  
  

HOLIDAY CAMPS

• The After School Program offers three holiday camps:
• Winter Break, President's Day and Spring Break.
  
  

SUMMER CAMP

• Apple Blossom provides a fun - filled ten week summer program. Our program offers children the opportunity to learn about the world around them through: weekly themes, arts and crafts, field trips, swimming, guest speakers and outdoor activities.
  

• Children in Kindergarten through Fifth grade may register for Summer Camp. Children, age 5, must have completed one year of Kindergarten.
  

• Camp Rates are available by calling the After School Program.

Child Care is offered on all staff development days. We are closed on all school holidays. However, we do offer Winter, Spring, President's Day and Summer camps.

• The After School Program is open to children enrolled in the district, grades K - 5.
  

• Camps are open to the community, grades K - 5.
  

SNACK

• A nutritious snack is offered each afternoon. The snack consists of fruit and crackers or chips. Once a week a special snack is prepared such as nachos, pizza bread, baked potatoes, burritos, etc.
